Frequently asked questions

The first consultation includes a complete medical history, physical examination of the hand and, if necessary, additional tests. The goal is to reach an accurate diagnosis and clearly explain the treatment options.

Depending on the case, X-rays, ultrasound, MRI or electromyography may be needed. In many cases, a diagnosis can be made during the consultation itself.

Not all hand problems require surgery. Non-surgical treatment is always considered first. Surgery is recommended when it is the best option for the patient based on scientific evidence.

It depends on the type of surgery. Many hand surgeries are outpatient procedures with a quick recovery. Clear rehabilitation guidelines and personalised follow-up are provided.

Non-surgical treatment includes splints, injections, rehabilitation and medication. Surgery is reserved for cases where non-surgical treatment is insufficient or the condition requires it.

You can book an appointment through the booking buttons on this website, by phone or by email. Consultations are available at Hospital del Mar, Vithas and a private clinic in Barcelona.
